Privacy Policy

Last updated November 17, 2025

Your privacy is important to us. In this policy, we explain in simple terms how and why we collect and use your personal data when you use our professional dating app, and what your rights are.

Who manages your data?

Bizzy S.r.l. is the company responsible for processing your personal data (the Data Controller).

Registered office: Via del Pino 11, 59100 Prato (PO), Italy.

For any questions or requests regarding privacy, you can contact us via email at privacy@bizzysrl.com.

Why do we collect your data?

We use your data only for specific reasons related to the operation of the app and the services we offer you.

Learn more about the purposes of processing

Below are the main purposes of processing personal data:

  • Providing the service: allowing you to create your profile and use the app and its features. You can access the app via LinkedIn, Google, or Apple. Access via the aforementioned providers may also occur through facial recognition, fingerprint, or other biometric systems already activated on your device, based on the security settings you have chosen. Biometric data is managed exclusively by your device, through the operating system's biometric systems. Bizzy does not have access to nor directly processes such biometric data.
  • Support and requests: responding to your questions, reports, or need for assistance.
  • Prevention of abuse and user reports: managing voluntary reports of misconduct, inappropriate content, or violations of the terms and conditions of service by other users. Processing the data contained in the report is necessary to protect the security and proper functioning of the platform.
  • Contractual and legal obligations: managing the contractual relationship (e.g., terms of service) and complying with legal or regulatory requirements.
  • Communications about similar services: sending you offers or information about services similar to those offered by the app (based on so-called soft spam, without the need for explicit consent). You can object to these communications at any time.
  • Internal analytics: examining data (in aggregated and anonymous form) for internal statistics and to improve the service.
  • Geolocation: providing you with location-based features, for example showing you users who are nearby or professional opportunities near you (see the "Geolocation and Profiling" section).
  • Marketing with consent: carrying out marketing activities, including sending newsletters or promotional campaigns, only if you have explicitly expressed your consent.
  • Profiling with consent: analyzing preferences and behaviors (profiling) to receive personalized communications, only if you have given your consent.

Some information is necessary to provide you with the service. If you choose not to provide essential data, you may not be able to use the app or certain features.

Promotional messages and marketing

We may use your email contact details to direct commercial communications regarding our services to you.

However, we want to avoid unwanted spam: our promotional communications will take place within permitted limits and respecting your choices.

Specifically:

  • Similar services already used: we may send you offers or updates on services similar to those provided by our platform, without having to ask for consent each time (as provided by soft spam regulations). In any case, you always have the right to refuse these communications immediately and free of charge, for example by writing to us or clicking on the unsubscribe option when available.
  • Other marketing communications: for offers on new services, newsletters, or promotional campaigns different from those mentioned above, we will expressly ask for your consent. Only if you voluntarily decide to join, will we use your data for this purpose. Furthermore, you can change your mind and revoke your consent at any time, choosing not to receive this type of message anymore (e.g., via the appropriate link in emails or by contacting us to update your preferences).
  • Profiling: We may send you tailored communications in line with your interests and preferences. This process aims to improve your experience (e.g., offering you services or offers that might interest you). Profiling is carried out only if you have given your specific consent. Even after providing it, you have the right to object to this type of analysis or to revoke consent at any time, and in such case, your data will no longer be used for profiling purposes. The user sorting algorithm is based exclusively on objective criteria (e.g., geographic distance, previous interactions, online status) and does not perform automated profiling based on profile characteristics or personal preferences.

In short, the control is yours: if you no longer want to receive promotional communications, you can object or unsubscribe whenever you want.

If you invite other users to register via referral link ("Invite a friend" function), and at least two of them correctly complete the registration, you may receive a promotional voucher or discount code from Bizzy. In compliance with data minimization and protection principles, Bizzy does not collect or process personal data of third parties not yet registered. processing connected to the assignment of the voucher is based on the legitimate interest of the controller to promote the use of the app through transparent and proportionate reward mechanisms, pursuant to Art. 6, par. 1, lett. f) GDPR. The operating methods, assignment criteria, and conditions of use of said vouchers are clearly described in a dedicated section.

You can participate in events organized by Bizzy or partners and such participation will be visible in your profile as networking indication. You can, at any time, decide to remove this information, which will thus be hidden from other users as well. The processing is carried out to provide you with a requested functionality and improve the user experience.

Geolocation

If you decide to enable location services, the app will be able to access your device's location data. This serves, for example, to show you other users or professional events nearby, improving networking opportunities.

Currently, to ensure a high level of privacy protection, the app shows exclusively the province from which you are connecting and an approximate distance from other users, without ever revealing your exact location.

Such information remains visible to other users for a maximum period of 7 days from the last access. After this deadline, such information will be automatically deleted from our systems and is no longer accessible.

The order in which users are shown in the "Nearby" section is primarily based on geographic distance.

You can always choose whether to enable or disable geolocation from your device settings. Without your consent to location, geolocation-based features will remain disabled.

On what basis do we process your data?

When we process your personal data, we always do so in compliance with the law (Art. 6 GDPR).

Here are the legal bases on which we base the processing, depending on the case:

  • Performance of the contract (Art. 6, par. 1, lett. b) GDPR): when your data is needed to offer you the requested services, manage your account, respond to your requests, or to carry out activities related to the contract you have with us (e.g., Terms and Conditions).
  • Legal obligations (Art. 6, par. 1, lett. c) GDPR): when we have to comply with applicable regulations (e.g., tax, accounting, security).
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6, par. 1, lett. f) GDPR): when processing is necessary for legitimate reasons related to the operation and security of the platform, data analysis in aggregate form, or sending communications on similar services (soft spam) to which you can still object.
  • Explicit consent (Art. 6, par. 1, lett. a) GDPR): only when required by law (e.g., for marketing activities, newsletters, geolocation, or profiling), will we ask for your free and specific consent. You can revoke it at any time.

Who do we share your data with?

Your privacy is fundamental to us: we share personal data only with trusted subjects, in order to manage and improve the service, or if required by law.

In particular, your data may be communicated to:

  • Authorized personnel: our internal team, tasked with managing the app and providing assistance, who processes data following strict confidentiality rules.
  • External service providers: partners who help us deliver the service (e.g., technical services, server hosting, email, customer support). These subjects process your data on our behalf and according to our instructions, in line with the GDPR.
  • Authorities or third public bodies for legal obligations: eventually, we may have to communicate data to public bodies, judicial authorities, or other subjects if the law obliges us (e.g., for tax reasons or legal requests).

Outside of these cases, we do not disseminate or communicate your data to third parties without your explicit consent. Your data will not be published or made visible to unauthorized outsiders.

How do we protect your data?

We maintain high security standards to protect your personal data.

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent unauthorized access, illegitimate use, alteration, or loss of data.

Your data is stored on secure servers, preferably located within the European Union.

If for technical reasons it is necessary to transfer data to countries outside the EU, we will adopt all appropriate guarantees so that your data remains protected according to current legislation (e.g., data protection agreements or adequacy decisions).

How long do we keep your data?

We keep your personal data only for the time necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and to fulfill our obligations.

Learn more about retention periods

In practice, we adopt different retention periods based on the type of data and the purpose for which it was collected:

  • Account data: kept for the entire period your account is active and, after closure, only for the time necessary to handle any contractual or legal obligations. Once this period is over, the data is deleted or anonymized.
  • Marketing data: if you have given consent, we use your data to send marketing communications for a maximum period of 24 months (2 years) from the moment you provided consent, unless you revoke it sooner or renew consent.
  • Profiling data: data collected with your consent for profiling activities is kept for a maximum of 12 months (1 year) from the acquisition of consent, unless you decide to revoke it earlier.
  • Geolocation Data: we will process your personal data related to geolocation only for a maximum period of 7 days from the moment of collection. After that, such data will be deleted.
  • Legal obligations or defense of rights: in some cases we may keep certain data longer if necessary to comply with legal obligations or to protect our rights in case of disputes (e.g., until the limitation periods provided by law).

Your rights

You have the right to have control over your personal data.

Data protection legislation (GDPR) grants you several rights that you can exercise at any time.
